The Senior Territorians Advisory Council (STAC) is an independent group that has been established to provide advice to the Minister for Senior Territorians on government policies and programs in relation to seniors and active ageing.
STAC provides an opportunity for Northern Territory seniors to have a greater say about their future and about issues which affect them. Through engaging with the community STAC undertakes to gather information on issues important to seniors and identify future opportunities to progress outcomes for seniors in the Territory.
STAC reports directly to the Minister for Senior Territorians and will have direct input into Government decisions about senior Territorians.
The nine members appointed to the STAC represent a wide and diverse range of experience, expertise, networks and interests relevant to ageing and older people. Their appointment is for a two year term and meetings are held quarterly.
