How do I use my Seniors Card?

The Seniors Card is for personal use and is not transferable to other people including family members, friends or colleagues.

Show your Seniors Card to let businesses know that you are entitled to access the benefits and discounts that they have agreed to provide. Always advise the business of your intention to claim their benefit or discount BEFORE doing business with the trader.

There is no obligation by businesses to honour discounts after the transaction has occurred.

Businesses join the Seniors Card Scheme in support of the seniors in our community and are not reimbursed by Government. Please show them the courtesy you want to receive in return.

Can I use my Seniors Card when travelling interstate or overseas?

As part of a national initiative NT Seniors Card is recognised for discounted fares on most interstate public transport. Many interstate Seniors Card businesses also extend their offer to visitors. However, it is at their discretion and seniors should always check first.
For public transport information or a copy of Seniors Card Business directories, visit http://www.seniorscard.com.au/ for a links to each state and territory Seniors Card website.

It is worth taking your Seniors Card with you when travelling overseas, as it is often accepted by businesses internationally as a matter of goodwill. There is quite a lot of evidence of it being accepted in New Zealand, Hong Kong, Singapore, USA, Canada and UK.

How do I nominate a Business of Excellence?

The very foundation of Seniors Card relies on the support of all participating businesses that provide valuable discount offers to members.  The "Business of Excellence Awards" acknowledges those businesses that "go the extra mile".

This award program, gives seniors the opportunity to nominate their "senior friendly" businesses that value their custom and take the trouble to find products to suit their needs, or provide services or facilities that make shopping easier.

Nominate now and support the businesses that support you.
