A positive test result for Human Swine Influenza (H1N1 Influenza 09) has been returned from a Top End resident who experienced flu-like symptoms after returning from a visit to Queensland last weekend.
The woman is in home isolation and contacts are being traced. This is the NT's third confirmed H1N1 case.
Pathology testing is still being conducted on suspect H1N1 cases from Central Australia.
