The precautionary advice for swimming and fishing at Mindil Beach has been lifted after extensive testing showed bacteria levels in the sea water in this area had reduced significantly and posed minimal risk to public health.
Nightcliff Beach remains closed. Further testing will be undertaken on Monday, and the precautionary advice will be lifted as soon as water sampling results indicate low levels of bacteria and risk to public health.
