The precautionary advice for swimming at Nightcliff Beach, adjacent to Rapid Creek, has been lifted after test results showed greatly improved water quality with significantly reduced bacteria levels which pose minimal risk to public health.
Routine weekly sampling will continue for Darwin Harbour beaches and the public will be kept informed of any changes to the situation.
