Nightcliff Beach reopens for swimming, fishing

 The precautionary advice for swimming and fishing at Nightcliff Beach has been lifted after extensive local and interstate testing indicated bacteria levels in the sea water in this area no longer pose a risk to public health.

All beaches in the Darwin region are now open. 

Routine water quality sampling will continue, with Mandorah and Wagait beaches scheduled for sampling tomorrow.

Test results have been loaded on to the Environmental Health website as they are received, and can be viewed by the public at:
