Northern TerritoryH1N1 Influenza update

26 cases of H1N1 Influenza (human swine flu) have been confirmed in the Northern Territory in the past 24 hours.

The cases include 5 in Darwin, 3 in Alice Springs, 3 in Amoonguna, and 2 in Tennant Creek.

11 people are currently hospitalised for conditions that include H1N1. 5 of these are in Alice Springs Hospital, 5 are in Royal Darwin Hospital, and 1 is in Katherine Hospital.

Dr Vicki Krause-media briefing at 10.00 am Friday 10 July

Dr Vicki Krause, Director, Centre for Disease Control (CDC) will be available to brief media on the H1N1 situation at 10.00 am. The CDC is located on the west side of Royal Darwin Hospital campus.

H1N1 Influenza updates are posted to the table on the DHF web site at

www.health.nt.gov.au/H1N1_Influenza.
