Alice Springs Hospital (ASH) has laid a complaint against a person who was employed at the Hospital as a junior doctor. The Hospital is assisting Police with their investigations.
Police are now investigating a complaint that a person had been practicing as a doctor without the appropriate qualifications. Verifying the credentials of medical staff is conducted by the NT Medical Board.
ASH General Manager Vicki Taylor said Hospital management had referred to the matter to Police yesterday.
Ms Taylor said that because a Police investigation is under way the Hospital is unable to make further comment at this time pending the outcome of the investigations.
