Graduate Career Opportunities

Each year the Department has an intake of Graduates and these positions are advertised in November. Below is some general information about the graduate career opportunites.

If you already hold a degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance, Health Economics, Law, Statistics, or another business related discipline, or expect to complete your degree in the near future, then exciting graduate opportunities exist within the Department.

You will need to be able to demonstrate sound communication skills, the ability to apply academic knowledge and concepts to practical situations, flexibility, lateral thinking, personal motivation and enthusiasm. Detailed selection criteria which must be addressed in your application is included in the information pack.

Employment

Under the Graduate Development Program, initial employment will be for 12 months, with performance assessments being made during this period. Subject to performance, successful graduates will be extended to a second year on a further 12-month contract. The majority of Graduates have obtained permanent positions within the Department.

Salary

Depending upon qualifications and experience, the commencing salary will range between $34,912 per annum to $39,769 per annum.
