Katherine District Hospital Career Opportunities

Katherine District Hospital is a 60 bed hospital providing Medicine, Surgery, Emergency, Paediatrics, Renal Dialysis and Obstetric services, serving a population of approximately 19,000. The hospital works closely with Rural Medical Officers and local General Practitioners and Aboriginal Medical Services. There are specialist visits to the hospital and on-going specialist support.

Medical Officers should have a broad range of experience, which may include obstetric and anaesthetic procedural skills. Alternatively, doctors who have good general practice skills will be able to work well in this environment. Successful applicants will be exposed to a broad range of medical experience across rural, remote and Indigenous health, be responsible for total patient care in a strongly supportive collegiate environment, and have access to education and training. Accommodation and sporting facilities are available on campus.
