Tennant Creek Hospital is a modern 20 bed hospital serving a population of approximately 7,000 people. The hospital works closely with the local General Practitioner, Aboriginal Health organisations, and with rural and remote sections of the Barkly Health Services. 

Medical Officers should ideally have a good range of skills, including paediatric, medical and obstetric. Alternatively, doctors who have good general practice skills will be able to work well in this environment.   Accommodation and sporting facilities are available on campus.
