Studies Assistance Grants
The Assistance Grants for studies in a Health or Community Services related field are now available for the 2012 Academic Year.
Applications are invited from individuals enrolling in, or currently undertaking, training and professional development activities through Vocational Education and Training (VET), higher education and/or short courses in the Health and Community Services skills gap and workforce shortage areas.
Applicants will need to demonstrate how their course of study will contribute to the provision of Health and Community Services in the Territory.
Two Grant options are available:
- General Grants
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Grants

Grants
The Department of Health (DoH) provides assistance to individuals in order for them to develop skills and obtain qualifications in the Northern Territory (NT) Health and Community Services Industry. Financial assistance for individuals studying in an area where there is an identified skills gap and/or workforce shortage are given priority for assistance. Funding may be available for undergraduate, postgraduate and Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses.
