The key elements of the drug-facilitated sexual assault protocol are:
- best practice approach for all stakeholders
- minimum training requirements for police new recruits, detectives and staff working in licensed premises
- Reference Guide for staff working in the hospitality industry

The use of best practice approaches outlined in this protocol by stakeholders will have a positive impact for improved reporting of and responses to drug-facilitated sexual assault
