Department of Health and Families Emergency Medical Kits

 Authorised persons are entitled to possess poisons in a medical kit under section 42 of the Poisons and Dangerous Drugs Act. Department of Health and Families Emergency Medical Kits (DHF EMK) are only available to persons approved by Remote Health.

  • Payment is not required to complete this form
  • Please be aware, this form is an application to possess poisons in medical kits, as required according to the needs of the applicant. This application is NOT related to the actual supply of medical kits (EMK).
  • The supply of medical kits (EMK) is as follows:
  • - NTG applicants are not required to pay for kits, and these are supplied by RDH
  • - Certain businesses, as determined by DoH Remote Health, are exempted for payment under a full-price subsidy plan, and receive EMKs free-of-charge from their local NTG clinic. Please contact Remote Health to seek approval for payment exemption and for further information.
  • - All other businesses are still required to purchase their medical kits from suitable outlets once their application is approved by Poisons Control
