Epidemiology and surveillance
Nationally influenza surveillance is collated from a number of sources by epidemiology staff for DeThpartment of Health and Ageing. These results are reported on the Department of Health and Ageing, Influenza webpage.
Australian Sentinel Practices Research Network
In the Northern Territory sentinel influenza surveillance of influenza-like illness (ILI) is carried out by general practitioners through the Australian Sentinel Practices Research Retwork.

Additional surveillance includes laboratory reporting of influenza to the Northern Territory Notifiable Diseases System and observation of trends in of ILI in Emergency Departments across the NT.
