The Department provides a wide range of free hearing services including:
- Comprehensive hearing assessments for adults, children and infants
- Information and education for individuals and groups about hearing assessments and hearing health
- Advice and support for people with hearing impairments
- Specialised diagnostic testing, including Auditory Brainstem Response Testing and Otoacoustic Emissions
- Compensation and litigation assessment
- Medical assessments, eg: for employment or recreational purposes
- Educational assessments, eg: auditory processing testing
- Hearing health training for health and eduction professionals
- Consulting and visiting Audiological service to Aboriginal communities and organisations
- Hearing Conservation Program for Territory Public Sector Employees.
