Outreach Support and Transitional Housing for Itinerant Women in Darwin and Palmerston
Operated through the Salvation Army's Catherine Booth House, this service aims to address the needs of single homeless Aboriginal women requiring assistance when escaping or recovering from violence and other difficult life situations. Ozanam House provides a meal service and ablution facilities that are open to families as well as outreach services and a day centre providing, educational opportunities, case management, social and recreation programs, and financial planning. The service can include accommodation brokerage integrated with crisis accommodation provided by the Bakhita Centre.
