Northern Territory Oral Health Promotion Plan
Oral Health Services Northern Territory currently undertakes a range of oral health promotion activities working with a variety of partners in different settings. The Northern Territory Oral Health Promotion Plan provides a formal structure to assist these activities. The plan emphasises partnerships and collaboration on oral health promotion and population level activities with government, non-government and private sectors.

Healthy Smiles - Training Package
The 'Healthy Smiles - Oral Health and Fluoride Varnish Information for Health Professionals' training package has been designed to provide non-oral health professionals with oral health background information, knowledge about early childhood caries as well as prevention and management of oral disease. The manual also outlines information and procedures for registered nurses and registered Aboriginal Health Workers to apply fluoride varnish in primary health care settings of the Northern Territory. This package has been prepared to meet the requirements of Community Services Training Package HLTOHC408A Apply Fluoride Varnish.
Nurses and Aboriginal Health Workers in the Northern Territory who are involved in the provision of Well Child Health Checks are encouraged to attend a Healthy Smiles workshop to obtain skills associated with oral health assessment, anticipatory guidance and application of fluoride varnish.
